Someone pointed this out some time back - with many of the ranks being 'retired' from military service some time back. It was then pointed out that it was never said to be based upon American military ranks either.

However, its based in space So who knows what ranks they would have

Thats odd that the ranks are completly diferent between US and England. Since we did primarily origionate from England...


Why does space always have to deal with naval rankings??? Although, Fleet Admiral sounds cooler than General of the Army/Air force...

Personally, I think that your rank should be based on how long you have been on TLR, not how much you can post/spam. It would get rid of the comman reason for spam.
