A number of people have said that over the last few months. What would you like us to do about it? Make posting in the SL forums mandatory?

With both forums, FL and SL in the same site, eventually, new people who have not played SL wil get curious and want to try it. I still have my copy of SL and one day, I may want to play it again.

Ask Taw Chips. He seems to know where every lost pristine shrink wrapped and boxed copy is sold. He found my source for me in my own home town!

Did he pay for it too? Is that why you owe him hershey's?

Post Mon Oct 11, 2004 2:03 pm

just buy it off ebay, bout 4-10 bucks inculding shipping and handling

it just so happened that Ed posted about SL only a few days after I'd seen several copies in proper boxes not DvD boxes at the EB in the Rockefeller Centre. I thought I'd help him out by saving him some money directing him across the street. I wouldn't have wanted him to get lost or anything, all by himself the money he saved could have bought him valuable supplies for such an adventure. With a real box he can pretend he bought it when it came out like the rest of us did!

it's also currently available in a Microsoft "Action Pack" compilation with CFS2 and Crimson Skies, £5-99. I liked Crimson Skies. and SL is sublime. I still haven't finished it, I'm stuck on the Varyag mission when you have to defend the Yamato from torpedos. I'm kak

the trade in Hershey's is an attempt by the growing economy of Tawakalnistan (under it's Revered and far-sighted Leader) to break the Western corporate stranglehold on the trans-Atlantic economy.

I used my own money Chips. It only cost US$1.00.

As for the transatlantic commerce, I had to ship Reese's AND Hershey's. But that is for a separate matter.

I'm stuck on the Varyag mission when you have to defend the Yamato from torpedos...
*Points and laughs at Taw* There, there. Would you like some tips old chum?

For the record, I picked up my copy from a second-hand games shop, and they had two copies.

i don't need tips - I've had all the tips i can stomach and I still can't do it. I'm just cr*p.

That's what you think...... I'm not even going to tell you how far along I've gotten

Post Tue Oct 12, 2004 5:27 pm

I actually pulled it out and played it again after about 3 years of it collecting dust. I used all the old editing tools we may still have on the site here, but I've saved them, just in case I needed them, say, 3 years in advance or more....
It was fun, but doesn't have the staying power of Freelancer.
