Odd things

have you evernoticed that youwill see some thing that dosent make sense on tlr
example:I am a captain and have only 90 or so posts and according to theranking chart a captain has only 80 minimum posts but a commodore has 900 minimum posts, the difnition to commodore is
A commissioned rank formerly used in the U.S. Navy that was above captain and below rear admiral. Abolished in 1899, it was restored temporarily during World War II.

From what I undestand, they combined army, navy and marine ranks to get what they have now. That is not a bug. Arfe you seeing bugs with the site?

btw in case no one noticed captain is army and navy for army you have

1. private
2. corperal
3. sargent
4. Lt.
5. captain
6. major
7. Lt.colonel
8. colonel
9. one star general
10. 2 star general
11. three star general
12 four star general
13 five star general.

then you have certain jobs for certain ranks so there are severa; types of Lt.'s for example. but space ranks as it goes have always been a mix of army/navy ranks. in star wars, star trek...

Slight update, Private, Private first class, Corporal, Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Sergeant first class, Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Lt. Second class, Lt. First class, Captain, Major, Lt Colonel, Colonel, and so on. Lots of army ranks

Post Sun Oct 03, 2004 7:24 am

i ment by Lt. all the classes of Lt. but i m a bit out of date to much reading of WW2 books the point is that space/navy ranks have always been mixed for space ranks, after all it is the final frontier

The creator of the site is not American - so why did you assume that everything is by American standards?

Heck - We English still have Commodores in our Royal Navy..........and Port Commodores too if i remember rightly

The navy can also have the "air arm" as well as marines....which have the ranks for Major/Colonel etc.

Simply put - its not American
