Login-Logout and viewing only a few threads

Okay: first up: the login-logout
There should be an easier login/logout system. The only way I can see is to go to a post and make a reply, logging in as you do so.
Secondly: when I'm on another computer and come on to this site, I go to a forum, and I can only see stickys, and a few other threads. That's it. Why is this?

Change the "View" item to 30 days for the number of posts. You don't have to log in every time. When you post, you are then logged in and your name apears at the top of the page, Welcome Name. If you have cable, you are always in. Like I am here at work.

Although if you go to the Starlancer Forums, the only threads you'll see are about people never posting there...

But sometimes I go to my mum's friend's house, and use his computer. Then I have to make a post to be able to log myself in. And even when I'm logged in, I can only see 7-8 threads at the most.
At home, though, I always see every thread in the forum.

Click on the "Show topics from" to change how many that are shone. I ussually have no more than 30 days back.

Look up top right as you read this - you will see a box saying "jump to" and in the box it will say "Select forum".

Now go into the main forum here, and look again. It will now be something else - what ye are seekin in fact
