I just read the FAQ, and this should be corrected:

"Searching For Specific Posts
Due to perfomance issue, you can not currently search! If you want to look at older posts, please view the topics in a forum, and then extend the days viewed in the top right corner!"

Since you CAN search, maybe this should be fixed

You will have to understand, the search function has been on and off, it might very well be possible that when Gib made that line in the FAQ, the search was taken off due to memory usage of the function or sth similar.

For example, roun the Time I joined, the searchfunction wasn't there, then I believe late august he put it back in, only to remove it a time later because of a certain problem. and yet again, now its back on, I don't know since when.
