We need more emotive icons

It is not a necessity, but I would like to see more emotive icons. I feel limited by the few we have choices of. I personally could have used a frustrated icon a couple of times of some sort of tear one :'( .

An emotive icon I would REALLY like to see would be an LOL or lol one, to show laughter because it feels really dorky to print lol, especially printing ROTFLMAO.

Then we will turn into those forums where 12 year old kiddies can use 50+ smiley's.

Maybe not that many.
But some new smilies would be cool, maybe even animated smilies.

worst comes to worst you can link a smilie from another site/forum

Two or three extra emotive icons that were applicable to normal situations would make all the difference in the world.

I've gotta admit, I've been dieing to have a "confused" emotive for ages....its especially relevant with me as I seem to be puzzled all of the time nowadays.

Post Sat Nov 29, 2003 1:23 pm

I reckon that we should have some more emoticons added, but not that many more because the variety of the ones we've got here are good compaired to the ones on my m8's boards

Feel free to find a few smilies I can use, and mail them to me for a tear-full ( :') ), a confused ( :-? )and anny other smilie you are missing.

They should work well with the current smilies, and they should be free of copyright (!!!).

@Bargib, I sent you some emotive icons, maybe they'll be to your liking. The frustrated and annoyed ones are the best for this site I think.

From the play Reynet: The Prince of Starfyre:

Reynet: To be, or not to be: that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the spams and emails of outrageous Microsoftia fortune, or to take arms against a sea of lawyers. And by opposing, end them? To die: to sleep; to log off; no more; and by a sleep to say we end the heartache and the thousand natural shocks that circuit board is err to, 'tis a consummation devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep; to sleep, perchance to dream: aye, there's the rub; for in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this Lancer coil, must give us pause. There's the respect that makes calamity of so long work; for who would bare the copies and scams of thieves? The pangs of despised love, the law's delay, the insolence of office and the spurns that patient merit of the unworthy takes? To grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after legal action? The undiscovered country from whose work is bourn no traveler returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bare those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all; and thus the native hue of resolution is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, and enterprises of great pith and moment with this regard their currents turn awry, and lose the name of action!

I decided to list them here so you can see them for yourself. I wouldn't expect all of them or even most of them. Only the first batch below are to be taken seriously.

Possibilities:
"Censored"
"Kingly"
"Frustrated" <--- I like this one
"Confused"
"Teary" Although I don't like this particular one that much.
"Sick"
a more obvious "Cool"
a more obvious "Sleepy"

Moving icons:
"Teary" I like this one better.
"Screwy"
"ROTFLMAO" or Hilarious
"LOL" or "just kidding"
"LOL"

EDIT: Took out one of the categories to lessen the number of links to a site that is having server difficulties.
