request to Bargib for TLR hosting

Bargib,
I sent you an email about this yesterday, but you haven't responded. This is case you tossed it out with spam.
I want to test out some ideas for the mod registry and would like to have some space on TLR for it. The listing of entire mod contents will take some room; perhaps more than a free server like tripod will allow.

Thanks very much.

I saw it, but I've been busy with a few issues... what do you need?

@Imagine, is this all going to be in one forum or different forums for each subset? (For the list of registry breakdown look to indy11's post at the bottom of page 1 of the Mod Registry thread )

If it is going to be one, then perhaps numeralling the subset headers would be necessary. ie:
I.a.
II.c.1
Or whatever.

Second, is it necessary to list the entire file contents when posting a registry or just the items that were changed?

Third, there are some files that are just enourmous. What will be done about those?

Bargib: I don't think I'll need cgi/perl support. Frontpage extensions would be nice if you have them, but not necessary. I'd like a subdirectory called "mods" or something, and permission to upload there through ftp. Do you think it would be a good idea to link to all the mod downloads directly from here?

Sir Spectre: 1: I think I'll use one of the many good java based tree-navigation apps out there and follow Indy11's rules. I think that a forum structure would not be streamlined enough.
2. Just those that are changed
3. I guess take an excerpt from that file of whatever's modified. If that file is an original cmp or 3db, though, it will have to go in its entirety.

I'm kind of worried about how busy Bargib is. I remember he posted a while back about needing to find work. I hope he's OK.

I'm OK - but one point is that I need a new home for TLR! But this looks like beeing resolved soon...

Cool.
Sir Spectre I will have a demo up soon.

Indy, I really like your cataloging structure, but would it be more efficient to turn it inside out? ie:
1. ships
-modified FL ships
-adaptations/importations
-original work
2. weapons
-modified FL weaps
-adaptations/importations
-original work
