Locking our own threads

I was wondering if it would be possible to lock our own threads. I know we cant do it now, but is there a way that you modereators could make it happen? Thanks.

Not a good idea IMO. Then the entire forum would end up in a clicking contest. Then threads are going to be locked because only the one who originally started the thread is tired of the thread or doesn´t find it worthy enough to continue, while others are still having fun in that thread. Besides, there would be plenty enough people who will just go locking their threads after a while, just to annoy the others. Let´s just please leave the things as they are now and let the moderators do the honors
