WC3 Nostalgia
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

My parents think I'm gonna be a pedophile when I grow up.
Hahahahah not really. But they are afraid when I start salivating over the death and destruction in video games. I don't know why. Isn't it perfectly normal? And the maniacal laugh. It's pivitol to really getting into the game!

Ah man, that game brings back such memories. I still remember when I was in CompUSA with my dad and saw the box. I didn't even know they had made a third one. Anyway, I begged him to buy it...got home. The dang thing wouldn't install. Turned out I needed a new mobo and processor to run it. I was so bummed, I just went outside and played basketball. My dad left saying he would be back in a little bit. 90 minutes later he returns with a brand new motherboad and 90mhz processor (I think, it met min. requirements, thats all I cared about). I loaded up the game and was in awe. So what the missions took 5 minutes to load, I played for hours that first day. I didn't have a joystick at the time so more often then not I ended up on the losing path. That dang prison planet always got me. Then one day I bought one of those F-15E eagle replica programmable joysticks and from that day on I kicked major butt. That whole final run on Kilrah was great. Ah to be young again and not have to worry about serious homework.
Oh yeah, to answer the question, I picked both. I was meticulous with my save games, saved after every mission. I would pick one girl...beat the game, then go back and pick the other. I thought it was so cool when I found out that the grease monkey was a porn star. lol

Yeah, he's great. Makes sure that his kids are never left wanting for anything that is reasonable. I felt bad afterward too because at the time I know that upgrade cost a lot of money. He taught me everything I know about computers, he actually bought me my first computer games for my 10th birthday. They were the Wing Commander/Ultima cd combo. I still remember opening the package and him saying the people at work told him they were really good games. Played Ultima twice, haven't stopped playing Wing Commander. Probably never will as long as I have a computer that will run the good ole Kilrathi Saga. It's amazing how you remember little stuff like that.
AAAGGGHHH!! You must make me a copy of Kilrathi Saga!!!!
Actually, I wonder if that would actually be illegal, considering that I own all the originals. Kilrathi Saga just seems like a collection of patched versions of the game.
Anyway, damn, those were the good ol' days. Seems like I drooled in anticipation at a lot more games back then than I do now.

I've only played from the 3 - Prophecy. The first time I saw WC3 was on my cousin's computer. He played it NON-STOP. Then WC4 came out and he finally let me borrow WC3. I played it NON-STOP. Finally, after about two years, I think, I finally gave it back to him. He was leaving for grad-school and he handed my WC4 and said "Take good care of it." I still have it right here. I've played it at least 50 times. Although, I must say, I liked WC3 better. I'm more morally comfortable blowin' up Kilrathi than other humans, even if they do deserve it. Plus I liked how it showed the actual cockpit and everything instead of just a HUD.
WC: Prophecy came out and I was STOKED! Then I played it and it didn't have the decision-making option in conversations, which REALLY bummed me out. But I played it anyway. There's something about it, though. The graphics in combat and the backdrop and ship textures just don't feel the same as they did in 3 and 4. Still a decent game, though. Good replay value.
About 18-24 months ago I found WC2 Deluxe (with the speech pack and the Spec Ops Missions 1 and 2) for $1.75! So, I bought it. Got it home. Dang thing won't run right on the newer, faster systems. So, I tucked it away. Got on here and found people who offered me a solution. Get my hands on an old 486 or Pentium 100 MHz computer with the old DOS. Wouldn't ya know it, my source of such a thing is the cousin who gave me WC4 (well, his mother, my aunt, but still, it's in that house). I'm gonna give my aunt a call later on today and see if they still have their old computer capable of running it. If they do and are willing, I'm gonna run up and grab it, bring it home, set it up in my room, and play to my heart's content, assuming it works. I don't think it'll have a joysick and I don't think that computer has an applicable joystick port to work with the one I have, so I'll have to use the keyboard. Oh well. It'll be worth it, again assuming it works.

Yep, the good old days
The first time I heard about Wing Commander was when I got it for my birthday for the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System...for the people who don't know ) From that moment on, I was hooked !
