What is this warez anyway? Kinda pirate site or sth? Besides, GE, I wouldn't worry about that - a pirate copy will never be the same as the original - trust me, I tried both (not FL, of course). On the other hand, I agree, it sux when some, say, outsider gets the stuff before you. My condolences. But, look at the bright side of it - he'll never buy the original, so, in the end, you'll get the upper hand.

Yeah, but by not buying the original DA looses money and that reduces the chance of an FL2 or FLO

I kinda would wish they'd get a peer2peer client and wrote down the IPs of everyone who downloads the game (or has it shared) and then sues them.. :/

The thing that pisses me off more than anything is when they have the audacity to come in here and complain about thier stolen product. Man, that get's me angry.

I've got my Gold copy, and I'm buying a retail version too. So that makes me what? Wrong? Stupid? Rich? Eccentric? I'll settle for responsible.

I might add it's nice of Gibby to let this topic live so we can have our own place to vent and rage against the "machine" known as warez. We've been hearing them rant and rave and basically ruin the beloved FL discussion forum we have all come to know over the years for well over a week now. I'm personally sick of it.

Buying the real things just feels right and the game works correctly. Warez is just a part of life. It's like that guy that pulls out in front of you when you're driving. You would like to bash him but you control yourself. Ya hate warez but move on beyond them with a legit copy.

yeah and the other reason that i feel bad is we are havaing a LAN party this weekend and he is going to bring it and chanes are that we will play it the thing is that i already preordered so i paid for it already so i dont feel too bad, and i am still trying to get the rest of them to buy the retail. will it be possible for them to play MP with the wares version?

I don't think MP will be possible with the Warez version, but then again....I'm not entirely sure.....

I understand it's frustrating that your buddies have the game earlier than you, but bear in mind that YOU are the one with some dignity left in your fibres and in the long run you'll be able to look at yourself in the mirror with a satisfied feeling and a sense of euphoria perhaps. Nothing wrong about being honest and feeling good about yourself.

warez wounds me, not in the least because a mate just came running in and told me how mint freelancer is, so i say "yea i'm gtting the demo now" as i count down the hours needed before completion and he goes "nah, i downloaded the full thing last night from a warez site" then sods off to enjoy reams of space exploration ive been counting the days for while he was out there playing sports and being 'not-so-damn-geeky'

the real gutting thing is when he asks if i want a copy and i have to gruelly cough out the words "no thanks, i'll wait til it comes out in the shops"
