Harry Potter Update

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Harry Potter Update

Not sure that anyone cares though, but I just felt the urge of somewhat distracting you from the madness going on in the FL discussion area

J.K. Rowling already started on book 6

Here's the content of a letter from Joanna:

Dear Matt,

Thank you very much indeed for your letter, I love hearing from readers!

As you might know, I have now finished the fifth Harry Potter book ("Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". It is a very long one – even bigger than "Goblet of Fire" – though I really don't think I've rambled. It's just that as we reach the later books, there are lots of questions to be answered along with all the new developments. Hopefully you will understand if you read the book.

I am expecting a baby shortly so I expect I will be taking a couple of months off from writing seriously, but I have already started book six (the title is not finalized yet), and am enjoying it a lot. It will feel odd to be writing with a baby alongside me again, as I did for a lot of 'Philosopher’s Stone'!

I really do appreciate all the fan mail that I receive but I always love hearing from an (unashamed) adult fan of Harry’s. Thank you for writing. It's letters like yours that make my day.

With very best wishes,

JK Rowling

Also, Dumbledore is finally announced: Sir Michael Gambon

Here's a pic of him:

Rest of the cast:

Sirius Black = Gary Oldman (Bram Stokers Dracula, Leon, JFK etc.)
Prof. Lupin = David Thewlis (Seven year in Tibet, Timeline)
Aunt Marge = Pam Ferris (evil headmistress in Mathilda )

and furthermore actors like Timothy Spall and Paul Whitehouse.

Yeah, I've read all 4 books and can't wait to read the fifth "The order of the Phoenix" Only problem is that it will come out in The Netherlands in the fall (it has to be translated first)

@Eraser: can't you get an English version sooner? This is usually possible in my country, though a bit more expensive (shipping and stuff).
HP is a good book (or, rather, series), though I usually feel a bit shy to admit that I like it for fearof being considered childish (which, in fact, I am )

There is no greater fear than running out of beer!

@Eraser: I think American Book Centre receives shipping order, with no additional fee if you pick it up yourself at one of their shops. Unless they run out and have to order you a second-hand copy.

Thanks for the link FF The problem is that I don't mind reading books in Enlish, but my wife just wants to read them in Dutch and I'm buying these books for us both, so.....

i dont like harry potter.
if your a kid, you cant really go to war, or fly dragons, or knob fittie princesses or do anything like that. You cant have a stunnah of a leading lady either cause theyre all kids. So whats the appeal, surely not the enid blyton style mysteries?
