The Beta is inded done (Have access to it)
They don't give out much info about the current state, but at the moment they have alot of players doing translation for them, and im guessing they are tweaking/Bughunting and that stuff.
Possible adding more stuff, to the univers.

I haven't been able to access the egosoft site since yesterday. this has happened before. egosoft is a great outfit but a really small one so sometimes things go offline for awhile.

last word I heard on the public egosfot boards was that X2 was gonna be done in early March. the problem as I understand it is, and I may be wrong, is that they still do not have a publisher for the game. I have heard they are in talks but as far as I know there has been no official announcement. so even if the game is finished and gold in a few weeks, it still may not be available for some time while the distribution is worked out.

hummm they make X2 look better than Freelancer, I wonder why... Maybe it's because X2 is superior to Freelancer in every way...

I got some issues with FL but I suspect I'll still purchase it, and I've really enjoyed X. but I dont think its really fair to compare the two. they have common ideas but implement them in very different ways with very different priorities. if one isnt your cup of tea, try the other, and vice versa. for everyone else, try both

I must say, every time I see this game I am more and more impressed. This game will be on my list of games to buy. I loved the other X-universe games, I'm sure this one will be a MASSIVE leap forward compared to the other x games.




My fav view....the cockpit view. I must admit that the gfx does look better than that of freelancer but of course the price for those gfx will also be alot higher. Bring them both on, the more of those types of games the happier I am.
