You defiantly need to relax man. Did I ever say I hated the US or Bush? No! You sugested that. I do not think Saddam is a saint. I want him out of the seat as badly as you want.

I don't bash the US because of their attack on Iraq, but the way they do it, with the biggest arrogacy every showed in world history. I don't see what's wrong with posting a joke on this issue. What are you going to do next? Sue the next newspaper which post a political cartoon on this issue? (Which could well be possible in the US, they'll sue you on anything)

Wiz: I never said anything about how you "felt"... I commented on the material you posted (which does indicate something about how you "feel", dude)... there's a difference. I know it's a joke... I have some jokes I could tell ya too... jokes about your relatives, race, and religion... after all, they're just jokes... right? I'm sure you'd find them very funny.

And dude, I shouldn't have had to tell you twice how I felt about it... don't play all innocent, cause you already knew... that's the bottom line.

Since it still seems to be misunderstood, let me again reiterate... when you hear these "jokes" every friggin' day, you tend to lose your sense of humor about it. So sue me, I've lost my sense of humor about how my country is vile... what a tight-butt, I know... I'm such a friggin' hard-nose for not laughing at it... I'm just fine with that, myself.

HEY! How is this post still around, but my "Wizards Mother..." thread is GONE! That is SOOOOOO not right... I said she's a great person or some such... I compliment someones mom, and my post gets DELETED!?! Where in the guidlines does it say that I can't compliment someones mother?

There is a thin line between joking and offending...and although I believe that Top Gun had no intention of making a political statement at all, he should recognize the limit. How do you know where the limit is? when someone starts taking offense. And clearly Deviant is. Please have the grace and edit out the first picture and the title.

On the other hand, Deviant, you should have stopped at just stating that you were displeased about the picture. You shouldn't have posted your political stance! You knew that Top Gun did mean it purely as comical, not political. You said it yourself that TLR is not a political forum. Spear and Wizard, why the hell did you have to follow up on that? Just because someone started, it didn't mean that you had to too. I do have my own opinion and stance concerning the war, but I won't post them here!

One more thing, Deviant, if you did post any kind of sarcastic post about someone's mother, that was low. Grow up. Ill intention and premeditation certainly had some part in your revenge, which was not the case with Top Gun or anyone else.

NO NO NO... my deleted post was NOT sarcastic... I was making a point about why political stuff isn't allowed here, which is now completely lost. My intent was NOT at all to make fun of Wiz's mom, and his reply seemed to indicate that he didn't take it the wrong way, so WTF? Yet this thread... with all it's violations (yes, my own included)... remains.

Also, I might point out that I DIDN'T initially respond w/ my own political stance. I was already letting it go, but then Wiz followed up w/ more, so THEN yeah... I got into it. I mean... read the thread... I TRIED to be nice, but NOOOOOOO! Anyway, me and Wiz will continue this privately.

This is exactly why political stuff isn't allowed. But since the shti has already hit the fan anyway, let me point out if we were half as arrogant as anybody thinks, we would have damned the UN and bombed Iraq months ago. And no, this isn't my opinion on the situation. Now kiss and make up.
