LCD Screens

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

LCD Screens

Does anyone with the PR Demo have a LCD Screen with fast responce ( 25 ms). I would like to know if the game comes out all blury or is as smooth as a CRT. The one I'm looking at is the Samsung 191T. Thanks in advance.

I have been looking into LCDs and found just a few that will keep up with games.

The list is small but this one keeps coming up in the top 1 or 2..

Iiyama AS4314UTG

Good luck.

I don't care for Tom's Hardware but he gave this one top of the pile.?

I replaced my old Sony monitor ( 7 years old ) after it lost one of the primary colors. I replaced it with a Viewsonic VA 520-2 LCD. The only diffirence I have seen in the games I haved played so far with it is they look much sharper and better! I can not see any slowdown of the images or flicker, etc. Unreal 2003 looks really good on it with all the details maxed out.

I just got a dell 18" LCD ultrasharp for $475 (using dell coupons) and it rocks for games..

Medal of Honor shows no tearing..

I would reccommend a DVI video card though...

The LCD on my laptop doesn't have any problems that I'm aware of. In fact, I can turn the thing up so bright it'll actually hurt my eyes. I've never had a CRT monitor do that to me before.

Yeah, really, if you stick with some of the larger known brands, you shouldnt worry too much amigo, however when you decend into the world of "el cheapo's" you are asking for trouble

With that said, you should still , use google and search reviews on the Screen your after, and DVI outs are becoming more and more standard in V cards, if you got the $$
