Winamp 2 vs Winamp 3

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Winamp 2 vs Winamp 3

I am sorry for this post but I really need an opinion here:
What should I download, Winamp 2 or Winamp 3?
Since I formated my HD, I've been using WinMediaPlayer, I want to redownload winamp but which one

EDIT: Also I have a pretty weak comp (P3 666 mhz) so I would like something light. But then I fear to miss some useful features.

Winamp 3 has cooler skins and cosmetics, and I particularly LOVE the opacity option on playlist and equalizer windows. But it takes 5 seconds to load on my WC-era machine, and I've decided it's not worth it. Winamp 2.81, however is light, sleek, and easy on resource. Winamp 2.81 for me.

Winamp 2. WA3 is such bloatware IMO.

I have just as weak as a computer, but with Winamp 2 I could play some shoutcast music while on Independence War 2 or some of my other games...with Winamp 3 it causes the system to chug so poorly, the games run like a slideshow. I used to even listen to music while doing animation, can I do it now? Nope, I can't even rotate my models smoothly because of Winamp 3.

Most of my family uses Media Player 9, but I think it's just as bad as a program, so I may consider reverting back to Winamp 2 soon.

Im using winamp 3 on a AMD 650Mhz, I find its ok, its slow to load up but apart from that i have no real problem with it. But then again the only others things that I run at the same time are Word, Excel or AOL, oh and AutoCAD 2000.

The skins look so much cooler but is it me or has the visulation (sp?) window been altered, it could just be the skin i got but i find winamp 2 was better for visualisations (sp?)

I have both,

I use winamp 2 for listening to music but i use 3 for the features, like the CD ripper and the movie player (lots have to be downloaded seperatly)

The two of them run completely seperatly from each other so there is no real reason why you cant get both

I have both, just because I suck, but honestly man, get Winamp 2, its functional, sleek and useful. W3 uses wayy too much system resources and frankly is buggy!

Yup, I reinstalled it, my games and everything runs without a hiccup. Definatly better.

Yah, unless you have multiple playlists, its better to stay with Winamp2.

I dont understand why they took away the ability to change the update rate of the sound spectrum. Its goin at like 5 fps.
