anyone looking forward to Eve online?
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Kinda curious if this mmorpg is going to be any good or not.
I do have to admit the screenshots look brilliant, I hope it really does look that way when it's released. Sometimes screenshots come off looking way better than how it looks when played.
That said though I won't be buying it for two reasons.
1. Im not that desperate enough to play any game that'd cost me by the month, I have more bills than I can handle at the moment.
2. Im on a 56k line, so at my current speed i'll never purchase a game that is purely multi player, I'm more of a dabbler when it comes to Multiplay. Ive always prefered a good singleplayer game, that way I can play whichever way I feel without stepping on anyones toes.

I just heard about this today and was floored by the graphics. Utterly amazing. Plus it has the kind of gameplay I'm looking forward to. But, SW:Galaxies is going to be my MMORPG-du jour for the time being.
If I ever get a full-time job and it's still around a while from now, I'd definitely look into giving it a shot.
But that leads me to the online-only dilemma. With a game like Galaxies, being Star Wars and being backed by powerhouses, it's likely to stick around. But something like Eve, you can't be too certain whether or not it'll be there in a year; at which point, if it's not, the your purchase is worthless.
