Best, favorite apps?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Best, favorite apps?

Based on simplicity, user-friendliness, and resource requirement here are my favorites:

1. Winamp 2.81: Best mp3 player ever. I don't like Winamp 3.0 tho.
2. ACDSee: Best picture viewer. Can also play movies and sounds on the side.
3. I don't know yet. I'll post more when I'm sure.

Based on power and usefulness I like:
- Photoshop 6 or 7
- Flash 5 or MX
- Trillian very useful chat program which remplaces MSN, AIM, YIM, ICQ and IRC.

No prob FF, glad I could help cheer up your desktop

I almost forgot,
Rivatuner - very good for tweaking your vidcard, once you found the right settings and saved them you just forget about the program but its great.

Photoshop 6
MS Office (I know I know, but when your a student/corporate worker you spend half your life using office)
Cool Edit Pro 2.0 (music recording and editing software. If you can plug an instrument into a pc, I highly reccomend it)

I use:

Photoshop 7
Bryce 5 (3d rendering program, very intuitive app)
Milkshape 3d (to do my models, at least till the trial period runs out)
Adobe Premiere (to edit movie clips and animations I've made with my models)
Poser 4/5 (I haven't gotten 5 to work yet, but its human modelling program. I'm still learning it).

I dont delve into gfx but i would rather like to know what kind of protection you guys use on the net (if your on dsl or cable)?

My favourite apps are:

Winamp 3.0
Avant Browser
Kerio Firewall (free for home users)
Norton AV
Radetonator (sort of rivatuner for Radeon's)
Ad-Aware 6
and RegCleaner

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.

Hehe, I knew someone would metion Bryce and Poser .
I knew one guy who had Poser 5 on college's computers. The direction had to remouve it because of the poses the students made in the prog .

LOL! You can do a lot with Poser...most people do precisely what that student did, DATD.
