You'll find that most of us on the forum are BIG Wing Commander Fans. So We all would like to see a NEW WC Game. I would prefer it if they re-released Wing Comander : Kilrathi Saga (WC I, II and III all Windows 95/98)

I don't know.............if someone were to do another Wing Commander they would have to do an absolutely stunning, groundbreaking, game of the year job on it. Otherwise i'd rather they not do one at all.

If you could get Roberts back, and fund him with loads of dough, I think he'd come up with something pretty spetacular.

I remember reading on the Wing Commander CIC that Chris Roberts was quoted as saying, "I still love Wing Commander. Given the chance, I would definitely revisit it!" So, perhaps Digital Anvil could acquire the rights to the Wing Commander universe. Then maybe they could go back and redo the series. Start from the first title and just remake everything. I would love to see the WCs 1-4 redone with current technology. Maybe even go as far as revamping Prophecy. If not, then an entirely new WC game with plenty of story, heart, and massive battles will do just fine!

The same game with superior graphics would be enough for me! If it ever comes out I'll weep with joy!

and there are rumors about a TV show

but I could die happy if they redid the first 3 wing commanders on new technology

In addition to Wing Commander... I am really hoping that someday Volition will get the opportunity to work on Freespace3. There are alot of excellent fan made continuations of the story but I want the real deal!

I think they might as well let the WC (game) series die in peace. If they did make another game, it would be 100% new everything. New designers, new programmers, etc. DA can't just simply "buy" the rights because EA is not willing to "sell" them for some stupid reason. I wouldn't trust EA to make the game similiar in quality to any of the previous ones anyway, even WCP which was not all that great.

Maybe someome should start an Online Petition aimed at EA, to try and get them to sell DA the Wing Commander game rights

There's been more than a few, TG. Unfortunately EA is rather foolish. They don't want to use the WC name and franchise to make money but they don't want anyone else using it either. That's horrible. I'd love to see Wing Commander redone. But, such politics these days.

It would be hard to make a cool WC game that would satisfy all the fans. I would like it if they made a game that took place during WC2 or 3, using new characters. Maybe they could depict the Union of Border Worlds fighting the Kilrathi. That way they could make new ships and give nitpickers less room to complain. I think fighting the Kilrathi was fun.

I'm sorry, when Hobbes was revealed as a traitor I was so PI$$ED. I thought the whole Hobbes being a true warrior and fighting against his people for something he belived in was great. Then I find out he's a vacuum-sucking double-crosser. Dammit. He was my friend.

Also got annoyed at WC for their predictability in the choice of traitor.
