Best musical composer in motion pictures

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Best musical composer in motion pictures

My top favs in no particular order:

1. Henry Mancini: this guy is the god of motion picture scores. Even if you don't know it, you have heard at least one of his compositions: Pink Panther Theme, Baby Elephant Walk, and of course, the original compositions of James Bond Theme and Theme from Mission: Impossible.

2. Moby: not a favorite artist of mine, but his remix version of Mission: Impossible theme is da boss!

3. John Powell: this guy is new to me, but he did awesome work on the Bourne Identity, a power-tension enhancer to the fight scenes. Who would've thought that drum and bass alone can regulate your heartbeat?

4. Danny Elfman and Alf Clausen: theme from the Simpsons best part is always Lisa's saxophone solo (and so many variations of that)

5. Jerry Goldsmith: he composed the theme from Star Trek movies.

6. Whoever did that Inspector Gadget theme. Go gadget go!

Share yours! but remember, only musical scores, NOT soundtracks!

ok, first:
Henri Mancini did NOT do the James Bond theme, that was composed by Monty Norman and arranged by John Barry.
he didn't do the Mission Impossible theme either, that was Lalo Schiffrin.

Mine would be (in no specific order)
Jerry Goldsmith (should be known)
David Arnold (stargate, ID4, Wing Commander (Movie, but just the theme), all bonds since Tomorrow never dies)
Danny Elfman (should be known too)
John Williams (everyone who doesn't know him should go into the corner and be ashamed)
John Barry

That guy who made the music for "The Exorcist". Don't remember his name

"God bless this acid house!"
"I was near the scene of another crime at the time, officer."
