true but if you look at prices: if something would cost 1 guilder (exactly 0.45 euro) they would make the price 0.50 euro and that way profit 5 cents!

I do fairly well with the economics, and I really think the euro is the best thing for Europe in the long run, which isn't to say that there won't be any growing pains. A universal currency would be even better, though.

If you ever want to have a decent all round currecny go for the pound (£ you all know it makes sense! Plus it wouldn't confuse us brits
