Shows how dead it has been here...
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

SWAT - I see. So your complaint is that we aren't discussing a great deal in the OT forum, and that we should have less threads about FL and more threads about science and culture, etc? Is that correct? Fair enough, however the clientele of TLR as a whole are, of course, people who like FL, SL, etc and/or other computer games. Hence, many of the aforementioned posters may not enjoy contributing substantially to a thread dedicated to topics such as Chomsky's Theory of Grammar and its relationship to Brazil's Pirahã Tribe. *Tips hat to Indy and, in a subtle gesture, taps nose slyly* Would it stir interest and lively debate considering the forum's audience? Perhaps, perhaps not. In the end, forums must cater to their clientele, and this is especially true when the onus is on the clientele to *create* the forum content. Hence, this may help to explain what you perceive to be a lack of threads about subjects that relate to things other than gaming and popular culture.
Still, you may be on to something. Hmm, perhaps we should attempt to attract a more sophisticated class of forum poster to TLR. Maybe we could offer complementary pipes, smoking jackets and glasses of fine Cognac. Oh yes, and also sit around discussing Descartes, Wordsworth and the economic benefits of the increasing uranium mining efforts in Australia and Canada and their possible ramifications, both socially, politically and economically. Yes, good stuff. *Considers chortling, but decides against it *
Final - Yes, although "mash" can (and often does) include additional vegetables including, but not limited to, carrot and/or sweet potato and/or pumpkin, etc.

@Who ever mentioned whiskey: I believe Indy likes the Glenmorange, I have a 12yr aged alright and it is nice, but I am more an Irish Whiskey fan myself. If I had to go with a scotch? Hmmm! Probably at the moment the Bruicladdich 10yr. Currently I am however indulging in Red Breast 12, Jameson 12, Green Spot and Knappogue 1994 (not all in the same glass of course).
@Esqui: Smoking Jacket eh? Could the men folk retire to the games room with a stiff brandy while the ladies discuss receipies over some tea perhaps?
@Taw: First the native colonials and now the machines eh? What next, the wimmin? Damn Empire is goin' to hell if you ask me.

*Calls from shadows* Indeed. And we could also sit around calling each other "old bean", "old fruit" and perhaps even "old spice" if we're of a mind to do so .
One thing though, does anyone else see that "Bump" thread as an abomination? (1) I fail to see what possible value it may have. Fun? Perhaps, but it appears to be pure, unadulterated spam. Am I wrong? You may have noticed my absence from that thread, and that is my form of protest. I have no intention of posting there and thus legitimising the thread in question. Bah! Fie on that thread I say!
Ah, I can finally complain about that "Bump" thread, in context, and without posting in it. Good show, old bean! Well, I guess that the fact that the "Bump" thread has been raised from the TLR graveyard really shows "how dead it has been here", eh? *Snorffles in amusement*
(1)Oh, and no Chimaera jokes kids; I'm on to you!
