I believe I may have said this before but good call! The New Pornographers especially; twin cinema is excellent and going on previews the new album is going to be damn good as well.
Lollapalooza looks ace I have to say - I've wanted to see the Black Keys live for a long time - although it's fast approaching the best time of the year for music in the UK. Coming up we have
The Latitude Festival with acts such as Damien Rice, The Magic Numbers, Midlake, The Good The Bad and the Queen, Clap your Hands say Yeah, The Hold Steady, Scott Matthews, Turin Brakes, ARCADE FIRE, Jarvis Cocker, The Rapture and Cold War Kids. Oh, and standup comedy from Lee Mack, Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran. I'm going to be there. And I'm bouncing off the freaking walls!
The Reading Festival - I won't type out the lineup because it's long and I can't be bothered, but it's going to be immense. Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, the Chili Peppers, the list goes on and it's one hell of a list.
Look!
Oh yeah, and I should probably mention the biggest music event of the year.
GLASTONBURY! Name your top ten bands of the year and chances are nine of them are playing. It's an absolutely unbelievable lineup and it's
here!
If I can squeeze Chicago in between that lot I'll certainly let you know!
