Ticket selling website

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Ticket selling website

Hey guys

I have to create a website interface for uni.
Now first part of it is getting the user requirements.

It is a website for selling tickets to concerts and theater.
Online bookings, whatever you want to call it.

Now what I want to know from you, if you could decide what you want an online booking system should look like, what functionality etc would you want on there?

Whatinthehell?

You don't happen to go to QUT do you?

I have basically the exact same project for my professional studies class, 'cept mine is a Short Film festival, not a concert/theater.
eerie...

Some ideas of what you could include...

A ticket search engine - event, venue, zip.
Event search.
Tickets by category - concerts, sports, theater, events, shows.
Featured events.
National events.
Spotlight events.
Events by city.
Check out, browse, premium national and local event tickets.
Most popular tickets.
Links.
Pictures.
Seating charts of the arena, hull, auditorium, stadium, etc., facilities, parking arrangements, travel maps.
News letter.
Select a category.
Quick navigation.
Phone numbers and addresses.
Request tickets.
Buy and sell tickets.
Guarantee.
Faqs.
Customer service.
Add to favorites or bookmark.
Tell a friend.

if you are talking national as opposed to local i would suggest a jigsaw style map
with clickable segments (state/ county) where punters can see forthcoming attractions/acts etc in the area and neighbouring ones (as an option)

plenty of blurb about the security of your payment system

potentially a loyalty bonus scheme

a monthly prize draw (meet band cast etc) promoters regularly use carrots of this ilk to promote gigs

if using "heavy" graphics a dialup option with lower resolution/no sound etc (even a small portion of potential clients arent worth alienating whilst cutting too much out may not be desireable to the majority)

preferential rate scheme (ie limo company, hotels, etc )

NO HAMMOND ORGAN MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND ok thats not an inclusion but i dont think i need say more

feedback button (you only need quote the good ones ) and you want to know why the rest werent happy
