Question about homepage...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Question about homepage...

Does anyone else get an audio whenever the main page loads up? I noticed it yesterday, and it's still here. Not that it's annoying, but I wonder why it is there.

I am 99.999868215% certain that it is from the James Bond movie GoldenEye , if that helps.

You're right but it's not there anymore.

I got that audio earlier this morning too. Yeah, it was from Goldeneye. Specific scene: When they're in the train after Sean Bean's character tried to ram Bond's tank. Honestly, I think that would be pretty cool, to have a random audio clip from a movie on the homepage, and have people try to guess which movie it's from. Just an idea.

I myeself woudl not like that idea, but that is just me. I come here for other reasons that an audio tid bit when opening the page.

Over all, I do like the look to the site.

I was getting a pop-up telling me I needed some kind of controller to view the page. I am glad it is fixed now every time I came to the home page it would pop up and it was getting a little annoying.

You need a good browser such as Maxthon

Post Wed Apr 04, 2007 11:35 am

At school they don't like us doing random stuff so they disabled all flash ect. we get around it with Firefox portable. That's what you get when you put a bunch of mini-genii together...

Come on Keith! ( do you mind if I call you Keith? ) maxthon? maxthon might be better than IE, but it is by no means a good browser. Firefox, now that, is a good browser. you should try it sometime.

Post Thu Apr 05, 2007 6:24 pm

The fact is I have tried Firefox and almost every other browser just to see what the front page will look like. Firefox does not display everything like I would like it to. Maxthon does show everything the way it is coded.

I realize that Firefox is a very popular browser and a lot of people use it but I have tried to code everything so it works with Firefox but I have failed.

So you use what you like, you will anyway. When I suggest Maxthon it's just that, a suggestion. If you want to best view I suggest Maxthon because that is the browser I use to look at all the code before it's posted on the site which by the way is done by hand not with a program such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage, that way if I make a mistake I can fix before I actually upload it to the server.
Maybe if you understood the workings of the site you would know why.
This site uses CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and ASP format and I don't have time to teach myself everything there is to know. I try to do the best I can with what I have so if I have offended anyone I apologize.

And you can call me anything you want...

Lol, you do an excellent job on the site, don't get me wrong, I just don't agree with your browser choice, but I can see why you use it.

Hand done? great job. I'm sorry if I might have offended you, and I'm sure you didn't offended anyone, I was simply posting my opinion

Firefox is what I use as well for looking at the forums, however, I use IE to browse the downloads section as firefox formats that page wierd.

I like my IE 6 and the only time I had trouble as I posted above was when the infinaty video was first placed on the home page that is when I kept getting the pop-up but as I said someone fixed it.
