New Video Card-suggestions

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

New Video Card-suggestions

I have to get a new video card next week. I'm taking into consideration the following, power consumption, performance, features and price. I'm looking to get something between 100 and 200 USD, but it has to be AGP and support a 300 watt power supply. The reason being is my Xtasy 9600 video basically died on me. I don't need an extremely powerful video card, but I need something that can go easy on my budget. But it also needs to more powerful than the 9600. I'm sick of ATI, so I'm going for NVIDIA. Any suggestions would be helpful. Again, it has to support a 300 watt power supply and AGP.

This should be in the "Hardware" forum Mee! Shame! I'll forgive you this time though. In regards to AGP, you are going to have a hard time finding a decent card, as nearly all of them are PCI-Express. I think that the "latest" nV for AGP was the 7600GT (I think), but that's about all I can suggest. You should really pick up a new MB.

Esq, virtually no-one reads this forum. Even fewer read Hardware.

Today was payday so I went an picked up an NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS like I said I would. It's like having a new computer. It's amazingly powerful. Blows my other video cards out of the water. I'm loving it. Plunked down nearly 200 bucks for it, but it's worth it.
