End of Semester at College

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

End of Semester at College

WOOHOO!!! Last day of classes for the semester! Unfortunately, I still have finals to look forward to next week, but I don't think they're going to be a problem. I've got classes set for next semester which starts Jan 4. All in all, I'm having a good time with school. I've pretty much passed my classes with good grades, so I'm in a hell of a good mood.

Congrats! I just wrapped up my finals today... though I'm slightly less confident.

Nice.

I'm just waiting for my results now. Hopefully it'll be out by Tuesday then I can enroll for third year next Monday.

good luck to all

Well, I have my final grades. They are as follows: A-,A,A,D+. The A-minus was in my computer class, the first A was for my health class, the second A was for my writing class. The D+ I'm sad to say was for my math class. My total GPA was 2.93. Math killed me in the GPA department, but I still passed. Here's hoping I'll do better next semester.

I assume congrats will be in order?
I'm not sure how your system works, but surely all those A's are good.

Well done and good luck!

I just finished my semester too. I love school but the past year and half have been brutal for me and the next semester I am working an additional 20 hrs a week at the college on top of my full time schooling. So I will be there 8-8 m-th .

I got a 4.0 GPA this semester
A - Health.
A - Geography.
A - World History.
A - Advanced Digital Character Animation 3dsM.
A - Advanced Shaders and Materials XSI.

@sycho: Thanks. Yeah all those A's are good.
@Alpha: *does impression of Gollum* We hates you. *loses impression* Seriously, though, congrats on those A's.

Thanks

I am still dreading the next semester though. I have Psych, Biology, Political Science, and music. The music and polsci should be easy but I don't know what to expect from the other 2. I wont have much study/paper writing time.....

Wohoo! 3.7's across the board for engineering Physics, Statics, and Multivariable Calculus (4.0 in Jazz Band, though that hardly counts for much)

On the docket for next quarter?

Differential Equations
Mechanics of Materials
Engineering Physics II

Oh, and the real special one... "Contemporary Health". Hooray.

How does this GPA thing work?

And also, why only 4 subjects a semester?

Over here, to get a degree, you need 30 modules, in accounting all semester modules (6 months)
Or in Comp Scie and Informaation sys like I have, mostly year modules.

Normal time to finish a degree is 3 years, giving more or less 10 modules a year.

Over here... at least at my school 15 credits (usually five credits per class per quarter) is considered a 'full' load, although you can take up to.... I think 23 at a time. I just leave time to work and do a little outside of school to keep from going nuts.

Full load for me is 12 units. I usually take 18 (max allowed) but that is unfeasible because I have to work on the class days this next semester.
