Creting Auto Run Files

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Creting Auto Run Files

Is they any way I can create "Auto Runs" for discs?

I think it has something to do with ini files...

is it just to run a .exe? I'm assuming this is for 2K/XP apps on CD

afaik (and this isn't really what I'm best at) if you just want a .exe to run, then it's

[autorun
open=yourapphere .exe

and save the text file as autorun.inf

if it's not a .exe but you have the application shell registered as a program, then you do this

[autorun
shellexecute=yourfilehere .ext

If I ever need anything more complex than that, i use a 3rd party app to do it for me, like Autorun Pro or similar.

We have a technical forum for this sort of thing btw!

again, save as autorun.inf. The *.ext must be appropriate for your shell application, so for example if it was an Acrobat document it would be .pdf.
