SpaceForce 2

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

SpaceForce 2

Hey everyone go to the web site they are taking suggestions and have already added several from what has been posted already. They seem to want to get this right so come and suggest all you want. Also they say it is more like freelancer if you had to choose a game it might be like, and they now have 56 systems because we asked for more. So if you want to see something in the game go to the forum there and ask away.

I also posted in the commits section but thought it would be better here.

Features and still more coming.

AI

• NPC is aware when he is locked
• NPC knows when we are on his tail
• NPC calls for assistance through radio if he is in danger
• NPC can respond to calls of other NPC’s
• NPC knows when a missile is fired upon him
• NPC is aware of surrounding objects (buildings, meteors, spaceships… and also of his locked target ship and chooses the best maneuver
• NPC's advance through skills, just like your character
• NPC knows when he has disadvantage in battle and when it's time to flee
• NPC's awareness in diplomacy makes him act accordingly to rules
• NPC will attack us if our cargo is valuable to him
• NPC recognizes if we fire upon him, and he communicates with other ships to convince them to attack us
• Some races are more intelligent than others, and for example are aware of the sun direction so they can use it to flee
• Every NPC will make enough room for him to make the attack
• During a battle NPC's communicate with each other in order to rearrange forces, so there will be maximum two NPC's on one target, and they will not be on each other's way
• Every NPC has his own personality, and can make his own decisions despite his current orders. His decision also depends on pilot’s race, for example, collective pilots are violent and inhuman, which makes them hard to back down and easy to attack you without cause. Pirates can attack if you carry valuable cargo, but they will easily flee if situation is not favorable for them.

OK, here it is some info about changes in SF2. Read below, I will update it when I come to know about more changes

1) Huge 3D planets with dangerous atmosphere just tested and works fine
2) More than one dockable bases per inhabited sector, but only one stays licensed for race's business
3) Shipyards for cheaper repairing ships
4) Spy class now may be hardly detected when hack fails and "wasps" come out of base to hunt
5) More commands to wingmen
6) More intelligent wingman response and behavior

@ Cold_Void

I'm currently in your hardware chair, but an Alienware is only a month or two away for me, as soon as I save up the cash. I can hardly wait.

(oh, and good luck paying for the new viaduct tunnel : - )

tell them to keep the controls simple ie flying and docking.. anything that takes more than 10 mins to figure out the basics is not worth playing.people start to loose interest after 5 mins, any longer and it will start to look like X2, keep it simple like freelancer.

death is the last great adventure.

@spearhead

Hey, they are taking all comments & suggestions and have applied several of them already, so best thing for all Freelancer fans is to head over to their forums and put your 2 cents in, and they say that if they use your idea you will be in the credits.

This is a big chance for all of us to get the Space game we all want. Nevertheless, you need to be heard so tell them what you like and dislike, what you want and do not want.

Will planets also be dockable/landable?

Post Sun Oct 15, 2006 8:06 pm

you know what we're waiting to hear don't you? MP!

"So if you want to see something in the game go to the forum there and ask away."

You can go to the forum and they have a large thread on MP. I have not read it as I play SP 95% of the time anyway.

On the planets, I am not sure if they will be added or if they already are, as stated above go put your 2 cents worth in and see what happens.
