holding it back, it hurts so bad

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I believe he's referring to the shooting of a nun in somalia as a result of the Muslim reaction to the Pope's recent speech. The speech has been analysed by several muslim and christian leaders, as well as professors in the field, and they have declared that the so-called inflammatory material was not a defamation of Islam. The phrase was taken from a complex set of literature that apparently puts it in another context, but this will doubtless be ignored by the fanatics shooting christian religious workers and setting fire to effigies of the Pope.

As topher said this is not the best way to convince people of your peace-loving nature. A despicable act, and one that has certainly helped widen the ever-expanding gap between Christianity and Islam.

the topic is what it is - its emotionally driven but its also supposed to provoke to some introspection all around. we all feel hurt and saddened by the apparent hypocrisy of the world, its belief systems, and its status-quo's but we fail to look for the same faults we hate in ourselves - is it not our greatest fault to try and improve the world through the things we hate? how can we justify evil means to good ends without perverting whatever morality is left in the world?

obviously platitudes won't fix anything, and this thread will likely incite more anger and distrust even though its aim isn't to agitate but to plead for reason and self examination. so you see, we can all be quite petty under similar circumstances

i suck at speechifying, but i hope you got my point. peace
