First week of school

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

First week of school

I just survived my first week of college, and I have to admit: I'm ecstatic about being back in school. I had a very good vibe on my first day of school, which I feel is important because that's going to determine how the rest of my time at college is going to be. I'm having a blast. It's a hell of a lot better than high school. My biggest issue with college is the price of the books. I spent over two hundred bucks for TWO books. What's that all about?! Other than that, I'm making new friends and just having a great time. Learning's a hell of a lot more fun when no one is making you do it.

Books are always quite expensive. In my experiences, the college stores are almost always plagued by marked up prices and poor or unknowledgeable service. The schools do everything they can to force you to buy books from them (i.e. use obscure versions or uncommon texts). Your best choice is to go pay a visit to Amazon.com with about a month's advance of the next quarter. Buying books used from them saves hundreds of dollars. Just be sure you know what you're ordering.... as long as you're careful you can make it through. Also, some books (usually the more expensive ones for math and sciences... especially calculus and physics) can be used for a successive series of classes in some cases, so watch for places you can stretch your dollar that way. Lastly, many colleges offer book buy-back programs, which allow you to recoup some of your losses when you no longer need the books.

I spent about 500 on books this semester. I was glad to have found out they accidently shelved the books wrong and I got $100 dollars worth of books I dont need, so I am going to return them on monday and get my 100

very true but think about it they don't force you because you pay them to learn they don't care if you pass or fail as long as they get there money and trust me you pay for everything.
