Most Weird Place You''ve Been To.

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

you can't have been to a "most weirdest" place because that's a double superlative; you can have "most weird" or "weirdest," but not both. it's like saying "most bestest" which is equally wrong, of course.

hmmm, it's a tough question though; I've been to some very odd places in my time. I once woke up in Athens airport with no idea of how I got there (and no money) and had to ring my father back in England to buy me a ticket to get home. On balance though, I'd have to say it was the Darby and Joan Club Ballroom Dancing on a Saturday afternoon at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Or a very odd circus I went to in Bulgaria once (ever seen Todd Browning's Freaks ?)

I remember that story Taw....it's halarious

The weirdest place I've been...maybe Rochester NY, to me, it wasn't quite a city, not quite a suburb, wasn't sure what to call it...

Yes, but bestest, if it were actually a word would itself be a tautolgy with the same meaning as "most best". Therefore, "most bestest" would be two tautologes in one. Grammatically "most bestest" is worse than "most weirdest".

A weird place, I was up a mountain in Austria and on the peak there was a pretty large multi story car park! It was like the middle of a town up there with a big car park on one side and a huge glacier on the other. I'll see if i can dig up the pic...

a very fair point, JK, quite correct! "most bestest" is 3 superlatives in one! you got me there <must try harder with grammar examples>

Now lets all stop discussing grammar!

yeah, lets talk about grampa instead.

what, you'd prefer to har about even weirder places? unfortunately, i can't relate the truly "most weirdest" places that I've been to, as this is a family-orientated site, and I've been to some very odd places indeed that would make your hair curl. if it's not curly already, of course!

although strictyl speaking not a "weird" place as such, a very off thing happened to me in the Chott-el-Djerd a couple of years ago; my mobile phone was stolen from me in an empty salt lake bed hundreds of miles across in the Sahara desert. It was definitely stolen as I later rang the number an Arab voice answered (in Arabic and French, no less) Quite how it was lifted from me hundreds of miles from the nearest habitation I'm not really sure, but there you are.

there's nothing at all "weird" about my back yard. Apart from several very tall plants that I've never been able to identify, and a large clay oven. And of course I have the daily joy of seeing the whole of Tawakalnistan spread before me, and the entire population happily going about their daily business.

there have been sooooo many lol.
there was the time I was in Cleveland OH, were I saw a station wagon with plate armor all around it.
There was a place in california called Whale bone mountain were in the morning the fog would make the entire valley look like a fairy tale sea.
There was the ten acres of marijuana plants that were on a property that my family bought. How it got past the police for that long is beyond me.
There was the property in Ohio that my family bought that had a indian burial near it, if you have ever been somewhere were you felt like everything wanted you dead, and in the most horrendous way possible, then that was this place. ( yea my family moved ALOT).
So take your pick... they are all weird lol.

I haven't been to any particularily weird places before. I think another country would seem pretty weird to me. I think the wierdest place I have been to would be Las Vegas, since I'm not used to a million watts of electricity beamed to me through neon signs and the number of shady people on streets who would hand out cards advertising the "nightime" shows.

And of course I have the daily joy of seeing the whole of Tawakalnistan spread before me, and the entire population happily going about their daily business.

Aha! So the reports are true! The Mullah here is only the ruler of several ant colonies that have infested his yard! So is their daily business eating rotten apple cores I guess?
