V2006

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

V2006

Anyone else here going to the V Festival this year? I'm off to Weston Park on Sunday; it looks like the best overall line-up although I'm VERY pissed that we'll be missing The Dears.

Or alternatively is anyone else going to the End of the Road festival? Even though it doesn't attract the big names (or perhaps for that reason) it's a great laugh and the music is always top quality.

despite the V Festival's geographically close location to Tawakalnistan (just down the A51) I won't be attending. I'm sure it must be haram in some way, and it's all far too noisy and littery and full of young people wandering around dropping beer cans and gyrating. I see Mozza is playing though.

Well, I can safely say you missed out then. It was absoloutely fantastic; great music (except for Girls Aloud, but they were easily avoidable and you don't really go to see them for the music anyway) and a brilliant atmosphere. They were expecting 300,000 people between the two sites and I can easily believe that there were 150,000 people there with us, especially when everyone started singing at once. I'm still having a little difficulty hearing...

V Festival? I thought that was about leg wax or something, hmm....

I've been reading the reviews in the local rag; it is one of the better festivals for music, i must say; anything with the Dandy Warhols and Morrissey in the line-up must by definition be good. If i was a bit younger and less used to my creature comforts, I wouldn't have minded going, but I'm far too long in the tooth these days and I'd look like a sad old man "hangin' out wid da kids"

Girls Aloud? haven't they died a death yet? waaay past their sell-by date for a manufactured band.

sadly our local rag prefers to concentrate on the arrests for drugs and the traffic offences, rather than the music.
