great shots of Etna, richard; did you get into the caldera? Mrs Taw was terrifed and thought it would blow up any minute last time we went! Me and the kids rather enjoy volcanoes, so far we've done Etna, Stromboli, Vesuvius, Santorini, and Nissiros.

no the tour guide just let hang around for like 20 minutes then it was back in the bus for another hour ride around.

well don't just leave it there, tell us some more about Sicily! it must be ten or eleven years since I last went, although we've been to Italy many times since I tend not to go south of Napoli. Mrs Taw doesn't cope with the heat, the hills, the winding roads, and the lack of toilet facilities, and all my relatives are in the north and east (Milan and Ravenna)

we had quite a good time with volcanoes in Iceland though, that's more my wife's bag because it's so cold; give me warm sunny Italy anytime
