I have returned....

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I have returned....

Hey, guys. I'm back from Ohio. Sorry it took me longer than I said I would to start posting again. I had a good time back there. I will have to say, the next time I go back to Ohio, it may be permanent. I love it there. For now, I'm here to stay.

good to hear you liked it. i have never been there though. but i am a fan of Washington's and Oregon's gloomy weather

Post Thu Mar 02, 2006 3:12 pm

Ohio is awesome, I must admit. Where in the state were you, because it can be quite different depending on which C you're in. Funny thing is, my parents live in Columbus (I've always lived here), my sister lives in Cincinnati, and I'm thinking of going to Case Western in (drumroll please) Cleveland.

Anyways, to quote Relient K "Ohio has the flavor of a water chestnut, it's not too crazy and its not the best, but we're not starting forest fires just out of boredom. I'd rather see a movie if in fact I can't afford one."

@Wolfy-

Being a longtime western Washington resident I'll have to say that the gloomy weather can only be withstood for so long. You need to get out every once in a while.

Steve, I was in Akron at the time, visiting my grandparents. They live in Goodyear Heights. My grandpa used to work for Goodyear years back. It's a pretty nice place to be. I would rather live there than in Utah.

Bleh...Ohio...I'm from Chicago, so we see Ohio as just a colder (if thats possible ) smaller Chicago...What's the point

Post Sat Mar 04, 2006 1:22 pm

*thwacks parabolix* The point is that it's still better than Utah, you silly person.:p

Ah, crap, he's back. Well, I guess it's time to dust off the shotgun again. You spoilt youngans, actually thinking that we care that you're back. Spoiled brats with all your high tech "computers" and all your fancy "water." Back in my day, we didn't have that fancy water, we had to suck the moisture out of mud.

w00t! All your oil are belong to U.S.

I've been to Chicago, its just a warmer, bigger Ohio (haha, you wish. Ohio is soo much warmer and bigger, being a STATE and Chicago is a CITY).

Edit: Also, we have Rick Nash.

And this years Big Ten champs... THE Ohio State Buckeyes

Actually, this is the first year any Big Ten school has had the league champs in both men and womens basketball in the same year.

Big Ten Champs in Mens and Womens basketball as well as men's football (co-champions, but still). And Columbus's other team is improving. We're slowly becoming a sports city.

isn't this the fourth time you've returned?

Post Tue Mar 07, 2006 3:18 pm

You're actually counting? Wow.

I live in Ohio and I've got to say: Nice place to visit , but I wouldn't want to live there. Maybe it's just here in Columbus but the people around here are NUTS. In some ways the drivers are worse than in LA. The speed limit seems to be considered just a suggestion (and not a very good one). People sometimes Back Up on the Freeway to get to an exit they missed. When it snows the collective average IQ of the area plummets (on and off the road), even just a sprinkling will have an effect. Most people are flat out rude. And the elected officialdom seem to have severe collective cranial-rectal inversion. Both Parties. You can't really tell them apart. The only reason the police chief is still in office is because he Can't Be Fired. I wonder whose idea That one was. The Columbus Public Schools changes heads more often than a certain indecisive spooky hollow character. The teachers barely survive while the board members redecorate thier office first thing. And finally, trying to get a new or better job here is a nightmare. Rant complete. End of Line.

The SpaceNuts always return.

Thanks for bringing this back up again. I don't mean that in a derogatory way. I'm glad I was able to visit my grandfather when I did, because he passed away at the end of April. It was a pretty hard time for me, because he and I were really close. I loved him a lot. He brought a lot of laughter in my life, and he had all these great stories to tell. I miss him a lot. My grandma's doing much better, though. She's actually been able to get out of the house and do stuff without much to worry about. I've been quiet for a while...again, but I've been busy working since my grandpa died. I think the time off I took from this place did me some real good.
