Have you tried Winamp?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Itunes out of the question for download 32 some odd megs on dialup *sacasticly* right i get right on that */sarcasticly* i actually use my cd burning program for audio files/mp3 and the built-in media player that came on my system (W Media Player) for video

I used to use Windows media player, and still have nothing against it, but i like winamp too. One advantage that windows media player has is its toolbar. How i miss that

But winamp can play a gajillion filetypes. And that is a bonus indeed.

winamp

why:spiffy interface(classic, just like my desktop),better visuals,INTERNET TV + radio, playlist editing, and lots more control over everything it does

windoze media player (new)

why not:media player classic does *nearly* everything it does without the bloat(playlists etc, which add bloat and I have no use for)

I have not tried winamp. I use mostly Windows media player. I have iTunes, being that its a necessity for using an iPod, but I don't really like it, mainly because it too is quite buggy and the whole 'library; system frequently ends up glitching and creating multiple entries for the same artist etc and doing other such things that are easily avoided with a (properly) used Win Media.

i haven't tried it...i just use it. always have...2.0 was on my dad's computer...don't know who downloaded it..but it was there...and i used it....that's how it all started...heh

*edit*
go to winamp website and you can find plugins for ipod compatibility

Winamp is still my preferred player, but anything after the 2.91 release was bloated and sluggish.

Quintesential Player.

After hovering around a load of media players, I picked this as my preference.

It's good.

Like, really good.
