The holidays

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

The holidays

It's that time of year again, the holidays. We just sit down in front of the fire place drinking hot chocolate and receving gifts. Plus there is snow. Don't you just love the holidays.

I shall revise that statement.

It's that time of year again, the holidays. We just sit down in front of the computer screen playing counter-strike and receving cooling products . Plus there is snow but no snow days . Don't you just love the research products and the week and a half long winter break .

An i shall revise it further for those not in the northern hemisphere-

It's that time of year again, the holidays. We just sit down in front of the Air conditioner drinking iced water and otherwise sweating your brain out through your pores . Plus there is no snow[/. Don't you just love the [beight-week long summer break doind absolutely nothing?

Yes, i am rather sure i am SWEATING OUT BRAIN CELLS! especially sitting in front of my computer (Read: NO AIR CONDITIONING!). The HDD temp has reached record highs of 48 and 49 Degrees Centigrade, as compared to the usual 44 and 45 (High, i know, but my house is rather like a customer service desk. you wait 2 weeks asking, and then they send you the wrong product)

Did someone say snow?

I heard that Chicago got pummeled with a foot of the white stuff.

Post Thu Dec 08, 2005 6:01 pm

We got 6 inches and its still coming down where im at, I believe Chicago is about the same as us.

Post Thu Dec 08, 2005 6:18 pm

It's coming down as we speak in Oheeoo. They expect seven inches by morning, but that won't happen. If the schools will close with 6, we'll get 5.99.

Snow? All I've seen this year is fog, fog and more fog

We put our Christmas tree up last night. Its my wife's favourite time of the year - I swear if I would let her, we'd have a tree all year round. It was a nice night, we dosed ourselves up on homemade mulled wine, put the radio on and spent the night decorating (subtley may I add, none of this drain-the-national-grid-to-light-your-house stuff).

I love Christmas, but the consumerism of the whole event totally does my head in. In years when I've been skint in December, it feels like the whole world is conspiring against you to cause you extreme misery. I really feel for people on benefits at this time of year.

Actually what am I saying, the little chav so-n-so's have probably nicked more in the last week than I’ve earned all year, so sod ‘em

I’m seriously expecting 3 ghosts and an old business partner to visit me in two weeks though. I don’t really care as long as they bring a turkey and pay for their own booze

Have a great holiday all...try not to get wrapped up too much in the consumerism...enjoy your family and friends as these are things that matter.

Christmas humbug bah! oversold overpriced rubbish. kids sitting around doing nothing, but consuming resources. tripe on the telly. false sentiments from people you detest. this will be year 12 that I haven't sent a card. stuff and nonsense!
