As for other details, autumn/early spring time - and winter as long as its not 50 below (that's C, not F). Mainly take in scenery, buildings, history, culture, the folks themselves, the food, the ladies...

My dream vacation would we somewhere in Europe. Maybe Netherlands/Holland, Paris, France, or Germany. Anytime of year, except winter.

Winter - Anchorage, Alaska, hiking through the snow, cross country
Spring - Jerusalem, Israel visiting during Passover
Summer - South Africa near Caladon then to the sea side
Fall - Destin, Florida, For some deepsea fishing

Sydney, Australia and the rest of the country too. Some place I've always wanted to go.

Not for anything that's there landmark wise. I just want a trucker hat and a refridgerator magnet that says "I love Saskatchewan" on it.

I had a dream vacation in early 1994 - seven weeks on Pacific Islands:

Starting in Hawai, Oahu, Honolulu - by coincidence there was a Depeche Mode-gig the second evening

Later Fidji - Blue Lagoon Cruise (it was delightful even without Brooke Shields)

Easter days on Samoa (at that time the island was ravaged by a taiphoon earlier in the year)

Tonga - Nukualofa and Fafà Island: each "hotel room" was a 'bure', a little house. From my hammock it was 15 m to the sea and 50 m to the bar - oh nice memories ...

10 days in Bora Bora

and on the way back to Europe I spent 6 days in California. In the Sierra Nevada watching the BIG trees (Sequioa NP) I was in the snow (End of April 94). Will never forget the change within 44 hours from 38 degrees Celsius and 90% humidity in Papeete to minus 12 degrees at the mountains.

All the trip did cost a fortune. But at that time I ran Radio stations.
