This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

even i like the odd Linkin Park track, and I don't like anything!

@Mike G: i have to point out, that not once did wilde actually say something along the lines of "linkin park sucks, and everyone who likes them are idiots" which would be ignorant and intolerant, but all he did was express an opinion, which in a nutshell was "linkin park sucks"

Linkin Park really are not a favourite of mine, not in their original form, the only Linkin Park album I own is the Reanimation LP, which shows how their riffs, lyrics and such could be put to better use. But their latest offerings of Meteora and Collision Course with Jay-Z really are pandering to the latest emo trend. In The End was a really decent song, made really ****ing awsome by Kutmaster Kurt and Motion Man, and then raped, pissed on and pillage by mishers mixing it with Izzo by Jay-Z.

However, they make more money than me (a humble console jockey and amateur musician/producer) and so they have a form of success, and access to some rather fine ass in the process.

There are a lot of people who really knock me for my tastes in music, but you can not please everyone with your tastes, and why should you? Music taste is an entirely personal thing. My all time favourite song (has been for a year, record time) is The Great Below by Nine Inch Nails. However, I actually made up a list of my all time top 50 favourite songs, I posted it on a bolg, and I think here too, but I could not just make a top 5, or a top 10. I needed 50 to get all my all time favourites in. Seeing Jimi Hendrix next to Nine Inch Nails and Infected Mushroom could freak some people out.

So yeah, if you have got a spare hour to kill, try making an all time top 50, or a top 25, or whatever. you'll remember songs that you forgot about long ago.

I have now got inspiration to update the Jask top 50.

Chips, you should know by now that every time I say something like that I'm not actually serious. I overuse hyperbole for very minor things, and usually with a huge grin on my face. So I was joking. So hah.
(I do dislike their music. and I do think that they're horrible lyricists, talentless performers, and crappy songwriters. And a sellout to 'popular interests'. But that is merely an opinion)

Plus, I'm used to having my music taste bashed. I don't mind. I for some reason unknown to mortal minds can withstand Geddy Lee's inhumanly high voice, and in fact I love it. I still admit that it's bloody freaky and sometimes not the best suited to what he sings.

In that case I must apologise. Fraid I've had a humour transplant recently (as in it no longer exists). I just read the thread, and saw someone having a pop at other peoples tastes for no reason - which I disliked.

Sorry

no need to apologise, not everything is to be read as serious all the time. (I have thr problem where i see everything online as a joke)

I no longer have any favorite songs. They all have been smushed out of my head by the repetitive playing of kiddie songs and viewings of childrens videos.

Btw, Alpha, are you aware that the Goldfinger cover of 99 Red Balloons sucks The original by Nena was much better than any of the crappy covers I've heard 7 Seconds anyone?

Nena did it a lot better, although she never quite managed to master her strange accent. I went to see her perform at the Aston Guild of Students in erm 198-a long time ago..... lovely girl btw. nice figure.
