Star Wars

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Star Wars in 3D? As in 3D with red/blue glasses? What a strange concept. Hmm, Lucas REALLY wants to make more money out of SW doesn't he? *Shakes head in disgust*

lol that was funny.

As for the 3D releases the film will not be useing special glasses. If Lucus is doing this he has something up his sleeve that will rock the world. I may dislike how he did the prequles but I have to admit he is a genious at createing ways on how movies are made. But I dont think I will go see them.

I'd go see it, not necessarily because it's star wars, but because I would love to experience a decent 3D movie, it should blow your socks off (seen one before in France, was a roller coaster ride movie, and it was awesome - even though we were just sat on a floor!).

The fact that it's a movie I like/love would just make the experience even better...

So... it's 3D without the glasses. Riiight. That'll be a good trick, especially creating comparable "quality" on a two-dimensional flat screen using a projector. I don't know about you, but I'm not holding my breath .

I got this from the magazine cinefex issue 102, the statement is from a Q&A interview with George Lucus:

What does the dimensionalizing process entail, in lay terms?

Basically, you put the image on a computer and then you break it apart. You take the seperate layers --forground, middle ground, background-- and you adjust them so that the parallax is right in 3D. You create two imagesthat are slightly offset. And instead of being like it is in the cinema, were you have a blue-eye and red-eye and they store one image over the other image, with this they run images twice as fast, so the two images run one right after the other, and it comes out as a perfect 3D image. You dont get headachesfrom it. your eyes dont get tired.

Ok it has been a few months since I read this ( july ) and I thought it stated that you dont need the 3D glasses. I was wrong. but it will still make for interesting movies.

Has anyone else looked at the deleted parts yet?

yea and I really wish they would have kept the padame storyline, it would have made for a better movie. But since when has Lucus done anything that would have made the movie better
