Microsoft Game Advisor

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Microsoft Game Advisor

Has anyone else seen this? I was searching around on the Games for Windows section of the MS website and stumbled upon this...At first glance it seemed like a very handy little utility...One of the features is that it can scan your system then rank it with other systems scanned, and against the minimum/recommended requirements of games...Saves looking on game websites for the system requirements...Except I tried it with Psychonauts (which is a new game for those who don't know) and it said Psychonauts requires a 16 MB Video card and 500 Mhz processor Also, I apparently need 200GB of free space to install it...lol...Anyone else tried the MS:GA? You can find it pretty easily on their website

It has bugs? Who would have guessed

You couldn't pay me to install *that* piece of junk. Anyway, it seems completely superfluous, especially as the boxes for computer software contain all the information you need .

Requires Internet Explorer, forget it.

IE, eh? There you go, one more reason to avoid it *nods to Steve* .

I'm still not entirely sure what the purpose of the software is. Surely it can't be *that* useful?

Post Mon Oct 24, 2005 4:22 pm

It was primarily designed for the people who cannot read the specs on the box Grom .

Or better yet, for those people who follow development cycles religiously, bookmark developer sites, memorize the system requirements and buy games on release dates... Not like anyone I know does that....

Simon, you know better than this, a year old thread. *Shakes head*

In ancient Persia, digging up old graves could get you hanged. Shall we attempt to resurrect ancient laws seeing as someone is attempting to resurrect an ancient thread?

How does one hold a digital hanging?

Slowly pinch off their bandwidth until no more spam flows from their computer...
