McDonalds is EVIL! As is all fast food. Frankly, if i ever ate a hamburger and then was told it came from a fast food joint i'd throw up. Why? Read "Fast Food Nation" and you'll know.

benjon I think blackhole was referring to the puddle of faeces that soaks into the meat when the cattle have just been slaughtered and gutted.

@sw, your "sauce" sounds like one would call it a glaze. Because of the butter and sugar and because of the point in time in which you apply it, which is at the end of the cooking process. If you also let the meat soak in it for a while, it would be a marinade as well.

And, apart from chopping up Chips' relatives , do you mean "fry" as in put the meat in a pan / skillet or something else?

Mmm...chicken...

A mustard and yoghurt marinade, chopped garlic, olive oil, red wine, oregano, thyme, fresh sprigs of rosemary, roasted in the oven for about an hour. Works best with thighs. It's more of a dinner thing, but still...

Or a similar recipe with sage.

Argh's sounds good, I shall have to try it out.

clearly he's off the wagon. I often eat raw steak and fish, but poultry? I'm amazed he's till alive..

Ive had one again a Month ago, snuck into a farm, raided a chicken house for a fresh one, and devoured it..

its taste is still excuisite, the flesh still hot, and the blood still warm
The trick to eating poultry, is staying away from the liver, the liver makes a very good poison, if pulverized.

Hmm its not applied at the end, but from the middle, marinade is not entirely the right word, because the chicken never soaks in it. The afrikaans word they use in the recipe is "sous" which translates to sauce.

I think roast is more correct than fry actually....yea I think that might be the word, roast...

methinks I should start using english recipes to cook...
