Singularity Angel

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Singularity Angel

I am posting this because we have an offer for all of you.

We have recently begun on a new project, "Singularity Angel", which is intended to be an exclusive website for aspiring artists.
In this very thin community, about any kind of art is allowed.
We are searching for everyone who wants to submit their work to us. Digital artist, photographer, 3D-modeller, any kind of art.

If you are interested, submit your three best works to the e-mail [email protected] . We will get back to you shortly.

Any questions should also be sent to the above email.
Thank you, and we hope to see alot of submits.

I'm in of course.

Um... at the risk of being provocative (which is hard to do with avante-garde folks, but hey)...

Why do that, when you can just form little cliques on Deviant?

Just wondering... it seems a waste of somebody's time to try to build something when what you want is already built and being used by thousands of people...

Its fun to build something of your own, gives you pride in knowing you made it.

Edit - Spaz, kill the sig after first posting please

*Gasp* Advertising! You should be ashamed!

Maybe I should, Esque, maybe I should.

Anyhow, we're not interested in using dA as a medium. We want to create something fresh and new where we have the 'power'. Making our own site would gain us that.

Its the bad side of me, but how exactly are the artists going to benefit from this? What is the objective of the site, why should they submit their best works when they cannot see for what they are submitting, what is going to happen with it - or what usage the site gets from their submissions.

Basically, you outline briefly what the place is going to be about - digital art of any type, and that is it.

Queries:
Is sexual art allowed? Where do you draw the line between sexual art and pornography?

Is this a contest? Or will you post anything of good quality on your site?

@Freighter Fighter: Nearly all of the staff members of this project have seen your work. Would you be interested, you are welcome aboard.

@Mike G: The 'main' benefit would, of course, be an unlimited space for imagery. We will give a few artists a chance to have their own part of a art-site, but there will not be nearly as much members as at for example DeviantART.
By sumbitting their best works, they show us exactly what they can do. The art sumbitted will never be used without the artists' permission. If you do not want to 'risk' it, do not send in your art.
We don't do anything with the art - except evaluating and choosing what we consider to be the best few artists - until they are a part of the site. Then they can freely submit art onto the site where it will apear in their gallery.

@Wilde: Sexual art will be allowed, to some extent. Though, sexualy related art will also have to be submitted to a staff member first, who can evaluate if it's sexual art or pornography.
The only types of art we will never allow are racially discriminating and, as before stated, pornography. In some cases the staff may have to delete a specific submission. We will always try to state the reason for why this was done.

We will try to welcome as many as possible into the project and in certain cases the staff members will vote.

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any more concerns, please, don't hesitate. Ask in this thread or at the submission e-mail: [email protected]

deviant art has unlimited space as well..

Well, it sounds like Deviant to me, but that doesn't matter. Whom said any sector only requires one method to fulfill it is being shortsighted - imagine one operating system, one tv chanel, one car manufacturer. No reason why there cannot be another deviant art type site - I am sure there are others like it already.

I understand the desire to move away from dA, but there really is no better place to set it up. I would rather stay on dA rather than take all my stuff and repost it. no offence, but the dA group option would be eaiser, and would attract more traffic and attention.

@Love Shark: It's just two ways of seeing it. We want our own place; you don't. We won't blame you
