Beautiful South Africa

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Beautiful South Africa

This is a small Botanical garden over here, I thought I'd show you all how pretty it is. Not all pics are stunning, so just keep going, there are only 142 of them

Indeed, it does look very nice.

Probably wouldn't go there, though... a tad too close to the equator for me

I would love to visit South Africa one day. Most of my extended family lives there.

Anyways, beautiful pictures.

Gorgeous scenery in its own way. Looks a bit like some locations in eastern Washington.

It's a darn sight closer to the equator than where I live.

Which is why I said "a tad too close to the equator" rather than "on the equator".

Maybe I should go and live in a cave, cut off from all civilisation, so no-one can misunderstand me...

Roughly 15 degrees closer is a "tad too close"? I suppose I can buy that. But I hear it's actually remarkably pleasant during their winter months. If you were to visit now you'd probably quite like the weather.

The weather depends on where you live.
Freestate is very pleasant in the summer, the town, Bethlehem, where I used to live, rarely got warmer than 31 degrees celsius mostly being in the high 20's
Winter was cold, but the suns always shone(is that the right word?) Sometimes it snowed.

Western Cape where I live now, is very hot in the summer and cold and rainy in winter, or supposed to be rainy in anyway. We have most pleasant weather at the moment.

In other provinces the weather is different.

My grandfather says the weather in Johannesburg was always lovely (especially in summer) when he lived there, warm but never humid...

And then he moved to Montreal. In early January.

All of Gauteng, really. Heck, you could argue that pretty much all of what was Transvaal is nice, climate-wise.
