Lucas could have saved money on Episode one by NOT MAKING IT, it is a Terrible film.

Even thought Episode One was bad, not making it wouldn't have saved him money. Just remember, because of the hype (the 1st star wars movie in 16 years) it raked in almost a BILLION dollars at the box office...not to mention all the merchandise and so on.
So say what you want about Episode One, but financially, it was a HUGE success.

and there you have the reason it was made. purely to make money.
as if he hasn't got enough already! I don't mind anyone doing well but Star Wars is a cash cow, and it gets milked; or rather, poor nubbins like me get milked via our children.
oh btw does anyone know if the lizard died or not? (thats the lizard Ewan was riding when the Clone Troopers shot him, you saw him and it fall into the water but only he got out. mini-Taw very upset, desp wanted to know if the lizard survived. I did explain to him that it was only CGI but he wasn't hearing that..)

. but actually the lizard saved obi-wan. now give mini-taw a cookie and tell him to read a book, then he'll be engrossed in the books story and forget all about it(happens to me all the time: i'm takin about somethin then i go read for a bit and i'm clueless)
