Update: The hype goes on ...

Today close to New York City the worlds highest and fastest rollercoaster will open: "Kingda Ka", the ultimate thrill for (American) Speed Junkies.

The specs are incredible:
0 - 206 km/h (= 128 mph) in 3.5 secs
Highest point: 139 m

Visitors are propelled horizontally (!) and only after top speed is reached they "climb" up vertically to the highest point.

Note that on the way down there is a 270-degree-turn ....

Update:
The world's tallest dive coaster (90 degree angle - that is STEEP

) opens in Florida

people like the feel of weightlessness and getting pushed back into a seat. and quads are weak compared to Jet Skis, those are the best of all time..especially on the ocean....and it doesn't hurt as bad if you fall.
