TLR''s status

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

TLR''s status

Is it just my browser, or is TLR really going offline every couple of days? Anyone else having trouble accessing the site?

Post Wed May 18, 2005 5:35 am

I am. It seems to be offline for a couple of hours each day.

Same problem here. I'm on IE 6.0, XP Pro SP2 - and it happens mostly after weekends. That's why i thought it could be during a save-routine on TLR. No other site shows such a 'strange behavior' btw.
Another observation: some threads disappear for a certain time, are not listed in the forums, but some hours later they are back. No idea why this happens.

happens to me too... strange.

Yeah, that happened to me a while back too... I was using fx at the time so I guess its not a specific IE fault, oddly enough

I can usally access everday. is down bout once a week though

Most probably routine maintence

Post Wed May 18, 2005 8:35 am

Although you will need Eraser/BP to reliably tell you more - it appears "offline" to browsers whenever anyone is fiddling with the site. This includes updates, testing, news posts etc.

LET US KNOW WHEN TO PREPARE FOR MINOR WITHDRAWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but really you should tell us when your fiddlin with the site

Some of the severe lagging is due to some maintenance, but not all of it. We're definately looking into what's causing it. Log files are a wonderful tool, but lengthy to detect problems and even then it's not as easy to find the solution.

Good thing is, we've noted it and it's on our to-do list.

Nice to know you guys are on top of the problem... These tiny 'blackouts' are worse than big outages. My whimsical desires to visit here are becoming more frequently thwarted. Say, 3 out of 5 times on average in the last week TLR is down whenever i get the urge to take a hit of this site.

Post Thu May 19, 2005 1:48 am

Don't know if this helps. But today from about 1000 to 1110 (CET) the site was completely offline/unavailable here. Then I could open the main page, but neither forums nor downloads were available. I tried frequently again.
Now it's back - glad about that
