Giving up on Freelancer

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Giving up on Freelancer

its been over a month since ive bought 2 copies of freelancer. neither is here. ive read enough on this site waiting that i already know the story and how to mod myself. in fact ive been sucking the life out of the demo with mods making it last as long as i can. even though it only includes 2 story missions and several ships. ive used mods to get the different ships and all the equipment in the demo. and im at an end. its getting boring to play it and im starting to think the real game will be just as repetitive.

not really... the demo is boring after a while, but the full version gives you all that extra crap!
I would say try buying it locally at the store, and if that fails, i could probably airmail one out from here (I always have a silent chuckle when i see it on the shelves at stores)

The real game...online, especially, is amazing. The demo gets repititive, the actual game is nothing like that (proof that its a well made demo )

If I were you, I'd download the game...but of course, you may have moral qualms about that so don't listen to me.

He did say that he bought them already...

Where are you located btw?

i already bought 2 copies of fl and downloading fl illegaly is what im planning on doing if they dont get here soon. but hey since i already paid for a copy, then downloading an online copy wouldn't be illegal.

Post Wed Mar 23, 2005 3:55 pm

No actually, downloading it is illegal, unless you download it from the owner of the games site. The game requires the disk to be in the drive to run, ie encodeing on the disk that is read by the program. Be patiant an your legal copies will get to you soon.

*TLR does not suport the illegal use and abtaining of any games. So, let the illegal part of the conversation , die.

i had those cd required in drive things. its a pain to always have to switch disks to play different games.

Post Wed Mar 23, 2005 11:32 pm

And who actually cares about swapping disks? how lazy are you "oh no... i don't know if i can make it to the cd drive to load another cd.... ughhhh...."

Post Thu Mar 24, 2005 12:38 pm

Yeah, but apparently that would require some work and legitimately acquiring the game, something he doesn't seem to want to do.

Merc for hire...but only if you can afford it.
