Miss the good old days...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Miss the good old days...

Hi, as you remember me, i was Freelancer2003 in this forum.
Many things have changed since then, even the taste, now, ofcourse, i am no longer a FL fan as you all know (since 2004), and i am not an X2 fan too, i've turned over to Elite and other games.

Now i am a Noctis fan, you can find more details about it in my topic at: http://www.eliteforum.org/forum/forum_p ... ID=23&PN=1

I've used to come here and download mods, so many mods which i made my own CD Freelancer mods collection, but then i stoped, things change.

But its just fun to remember the good old days, ahh good old Freelancer The Next Generation, Freelancer Total War, yeah, me and my friends had big fun playing those mods, we used to take missions (online and offline) together, either by playing online or by playing at the same PC, turn turn thing.

I just can't forget the good old atmosphere i had when i for the very first time played Freelancer, and for the very first and second time played the FL's mods.

An atmosphere which can't be forgatten now, which shows itself only once in FL.

It was when i actually for the first time saw how the ships communicating, how the traffic goes, and how the planets look, and when i tryed to crash on planet manhatten all this smoke and gas made me think like i am landing to a city in the game (till i actually were blown to dust ;'P).

I remember the time when i played the multiplayer, and was tricked to death: a player offered me to join his clan when i accepted (with no idea about the clan), then he took me to manhatten and there stood 3 other players, which pointed theire weapons towards me, then the Leader said "well, well", and when i realize i quickly turned around and tryed to escape, well, thay blew me to dust, he he.

In the times of 2004, i used to play with my friend in 'Deepspace 9' server, it was so much fun.

But then it started getting booring, i've tryed to ignore it, but it was impossible, missions repet themselves too often, nothing change or evolve, i realize how funny the realism of the game is, in this point i left FL, and the same with X2, and turned to Elite 3 (FFE) which was totaly programed proceduraly, offering allmost billions of stars, but even Elite 3 had his limits, today there's only two games which i truly enjoy, FFE (Elite 3) and Noctis (or better to say Noctis IV CE), those games are truly realistic and are truly a 'Work of Art', thay are one of theire kind.

You know, kids grow and thay understand better and better the way of life, same with me.

Does anyone else can remember the great times of FL?

I do, i was running my own clan on a server with my friends. But a 30 strong clan attacked the server and we all were fighting abck defending our systems.
It was wts 1.4 mod i think, so i had a proud battleship in orbit of earth.
We attacked the clan and fought them. it was fun and good, in the end we won.
Now i sometimes play a little bit of Freelancer but mostly i play Star wars Galaxies....

In the end i miss the exictment of the game, some day i may return

freelancer was like how drugs are described. you get this really great feeling when you play for the first time. but you never get that again.

I remember that before FL i loved FPS and TPS games, it was GTA Vice City my favourite before FL, before that was Mafia, and before that was GTA 3.

That was so long ago, even before i moved to Ashdod (in the year 2003 i've moved to Ashdod from Kiriat Ono then i played FL).

Dammit, old good memories: friends, city, the shooping mall, the school, etc...

Hmm that was even before FL ever came, lol

i have a question about ffe, is it normal to start with almost no cash, and no fuel to get anywhere?
