English, French, German, a little Italian, a tiny amount of Japanese, Latin, ancient Greek ()

I wish I could speak that many different languages

All I can speak is Afrikaans English and gibberish.
We did do South Sotho in primary school but I forgot almost all but Tsamaya Hantle (good bye)
Oh and I can understand some Dutch

Learned Spanish in high School, but have forgottem most of it. I want to learn Hebrew. Tough one though.

My native language is English, mais je peut parle Francais bien (I wish I knew latin and german tho), and I can read Hebrew. Also, being the descendant of South African-Eastern European immigrants to Canada, I know some very basic afrikans, german, and yiddish terms.

It's easy to read--its all phonetic, none of the English "ph sounds like f" crap
I don't know too much about speaking it, but I'm not sure its all that hard...

I speak english and only english... Personaly i would like to learn german and russian, but not french.

I also speak french - and went to a French school for a month when I was 13 to help me develop my knowledge - although after many years of not speaking it, I am quite ropey. I pick it back up fast enough when I need to though.

I tried learning some German when I was at school, but unfortunately we never got past 'tourist' speak (ie - asking for directions, giving directions, names of the sites etc - nothing really useful, like finding the way to the nearest brothel ).

I can understand and speak, and sometimes write german, as you all know my english is well up to date, only queens english though, can speak Dut5ch, can understand some afrikaans, can speak a few sentences in Russian, Japanese, French, Korean, Serbian, Romanian, Spanish, and Im very fluent in a trade dialect (mostly Russian, German, and a bit of french) to speak with Polish merchants
