This still points to the obvous, never open any email from those you do not know, and even then, be extra careful when opening ANY attachments.

I cant belive there being reported now.

I have been getting those emails for about 4 months.
Yahoo detects them easily as the NetSky virus.

I got an email like this from the FBI like, a year ago.

I also got another email from the FBI, but let's not go into that. Had something to do with "violent tendencies" and "potential terrorist activity". Don't know where they got those Ideas.

I would imagine anyone dumb enough to believe those emails and therefore open/download attachments should be removed from the 'net' pool

One trick i like to use is to jot down the email addy that was pretending to be the FBI and making a new acount and pretending to be a CIA op... yeah im nuts

Ahh jsut check the headers. Also I was reading aways back about some pc magazine colummist and how he spoofed the presidents email addy and thanked his wife for her voting for him He thought it be funny but it enraged his wife because she thought her vote wasnt private

Well, this isn't the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life, but it's up there. I hate the idiots that come up with these computer viruses and send them to people, just to piss them off. I got an Email like that the other day, claiming it was from the FBI. I just had Stop-Sign scan it and remove the virus, then I just added the address to my spam list. Problem solved.

Why scan an attachment they are so apparent anyways look at netsky. It turns old ladys into the scourge of the internet. LOL
